Saskia Morel grew up between the Vieux-Port and the calanques and still shoots most mornings before 7. Twelve years in, she runs stills and motion off one camera and one crew, so a campaign’s photographs and its film share the same light, the same casting and the same grade.
Most of her work is for brands that live outdoors: swimwear and resort labels, cycling, running and sailing clubs, and the hotels and restaurants along the Mediterranean coast. She shoots in the water, from boats and from the back of motorbikes, and she plans every day around where the sun will be.
Crews stay small, two to six people, which keeps locations calm and budgets honest. Every enquiry gets an answer within 24 hours, from Saskia, not an inbox.
